Deactivating Adapters

Versions prior to 4.3.7

To deactivate an extension:

  1. Go to system menu > Manage > Extensions.
    The Extensions page is displayed.
  2. In Activated Extensions, click on the adapter/extension you want to remove and then double-click the number of Total Active Connections in the bottom-right corner.

    After double-clicking on the total number, a trashcan icon will be displayed.
  3. Click on the trashcan icon to remove the extension/adapter.
    The server will go into maintenance mode but will refresh and the extension will be gone from the list of Activated Extensions. The deactivated extension will be displayed in Available Extensions.

 

4.3.7 version

To deactivate an extension:

  1. In Extensions > Activated Extensions, click on the adapter/extension you want to remove.
  2. Click the Deactivate Extension icon (power icon).
    A pop-up is displayed, prompting you to confirm your decision to deactivate the extension.
  3. Click Deactivate and wait until the server reinitializes.
    After you deactivate it, the extension will be in the list of available extensions, and you can activate it again.

 

4.3.8 version

As of 4.3.8, the Activated Extensions tab is used as a status tab for the extensions you have activated, whereas the Available Extensions tab is used to upload, edit, activate, and deactivate extensions.

To deactivate an extension:

  1. In Extensions > Available Extensions, click on the adapter/extension you want to remove.
  2. Click the Deactivate Extension icon (power icon).
    A pop-up is displayed, prompting you to confirm your decision to deactivate the extension.
  3. Click Deactivate and wait until the server reinitializes.
    After you deactivate it, the extension will be in the list of available extensions, and you can activate it again.

Displaying Dependencies when Deactivating Extensions

When an extension is being deactivated, the system will check for dependencies and display them when you click on the corresponding button.

 

Known issue with dependencies:

  • When deactivating custom visualizations and checking dependencies, pages with custom visualizations will not be listed.
