A patch is a set of differences between two versions of the same file.
Before proceeding with the steps below, run a backup of your system.
- Make a backup of your
$InstallationHome. - Download and copy the EdgeCore file (edgeCore-x.x.x.zip) to your
$InstallationHome. - Change Directory to
$InstallationHome/bin. - Run
$InstallationHome/bin> ./edge.sh stop. - Change Directory to
$InstallationHome. - Run
$InstallationHome> unzip edgeCore-x.x.x.zip. - Change Directory to
$InstallationHome/bin. - Run
$InstallationHome/bin> ./edge.sh version. - Verify the version of the install.
- Run
$InstallationHome/bin/helpers> ./fix_permissions.sh. - Run
$InstallationHome/bin/helpers> ./remove-old.sh(if it exists). - Run
$InstallationHome/bin> ./edge.sh start. - Re-install the license (via command line or UI).
- Re-install the full backup (via command line or UI).
- Run some validation on your system.
